Big return for Little Tramp


  BIG RETURN FOR LITTLE TRAMP
Charlie Chaplin’s Little Tramp character, star of 70 silent shorts and iconic image of early cinema, is set for a 3D animated makeover. The 3D Little Tramp character, complete with trademark baggy trousers, bowler hat and cane, will appear in a series of 6-minute animated episodes being made for cinema and TV. Many of the silent shorts being cooked up will be re-enactments of the Chaplin classics, but transposed to modern-day situations. The tramp’s rebirth is the result of a multimillion pound deal between French companies MK2 and Method Films and Indian-based DQ Entertainment which has been approved by the Chaplin family.
