Future Shorts Sweden teams up with Göteborg International Film Festival (GIFF)
Future Shorts Sweden teams up with Göteborg International Film Festival in search for new talent and in celebration of short films.
GIFF's international online competition Dragon Award New Talent is up and running since November but there are still a few days to go before submission closes! Upload your short film and have a chance to win an award at Scandinavia's biggest film festival. ALL submitted films will be available to view on a big screen in the special Videomat that is being installed for the FS Sweden January event.
This year the 33rd Göteborg International Film Festival will take place between January 29 and February 8. But already on the night of January 28 Future Shorts will kickstart the town's film festivities with a night dedicated to celebrating short film.
But Future Shorts Sweden wants to give ALL the uploaded films the opportunity to be shown on a big screen and for this purpose a "Videomat" is being installed at House of Win-Win for the event on the 28th. In a special sideroom the Dragon Award website will be connected to a projector and headphones. "It's not actually a vending machine, we just liked the word videomat. But we'll be handing out some nice plastic currency for the guests to "buy" video time – just to make sure everyone gets a chance to try it” says Lina Sundén from FS Sweden.
