FUTURE SHORTS AT GREEN MAN THIS WEEKEND ALONGSIDE THE FLAMING LIPS, MUMFORD AND SONS AND DJ YODA!To close an exciting and incredibly successful tour of Europe’s best music festivals throughout the 2010 summer, we will appear at Green Man on Saturday afternoon from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, in the Cinema Tent.
At the event, we will present our “Summer 2010 Best Of programme”, showcasing the most exciting films of the season. From Romain Gavras’ highly controversial music video for ‘Stress’ by Justice to the intensive games of cat and mouse in David O Reilly’s award-winning animation ‘Please Say Something’; from joy to sadness, surprise to tension, we will take festival revelers on a roller coaster of emotions, providing the ultimate cinematic backdrop to the Green Man experience.
On Sunday, our sister company Future Cinema will take over the cinema tent with a special screening of one of Emir Kusturica’s most iconic feature films: “The Time of the Gypsies.” The film, which starts in Yugoslavia and ends in Milan, tells the story of a gypsy teenager with telekinetic powers, who is tricked into engaging in petty crime to make a living. The event will also take place from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm in the cinema tent. Click here to relive our last gypsy celebration at Latitude 2009.
The sold out environmentally conscious Green Man Music festival will welcome over 11,000 music fans this weekend in the Brecon Beacons, on the outskirts of Crickhowell, Wales. Music is at the heart of the experience but Green Man Festival also showcases a wide variety of other cultural events with comedy acts, film screenings and literature, making it the perfect environment for Future Shorts and Future Cinema. For more information on Green Man, visit the official website here. We look forward to seeing your photos from the event; you can upload them to our Facebook page and give us your feedback during the weekend on Twitter. |
