FUTURE SHORTS TO APPEAR AT WOW ALONGSIDE THE WU TANG CLAN, IGGY AND THE STOOGES AND M.I.A!

On Friday and Saturday evenings, Future Shorts will light up the Gothenburg city park, temporarily the venue for Sweden's largest music festival, with an open-air screening. Starting at sundown with video art from NYX and Erik Berglin, the special programme will then follow. From Romain Gavras’ highly-controversial music video for ‘Stress’ by Justice to the intensive games of cat and mouse in David O Reilly’s award-winning animation ‘Please Say Something’, from joy to sadness, surprise to tension, Future Shorts will take the audience on a roller coaster of emotions, providing the ultimate cinematic backdrop to the Way Out West experience.

The Times has ranked the festival among the best music festivals in Europe. It is unique in that it is situated right in the city centre and thanks to this prime position it fully integrates with the Gothenburg nightlife. Artists this year range from giants such as Iggy & The Stooges, Wu Tang Clan and MIA to wonders of the thriving Swedish music scene such as Lykke Li, The Radio Dept, Jens Lekman and Miike Snow. After midnight, when the festival area closes, Way out West takes over the city's nightclubs, headlining acts like Felix Da Housecat, DJ/RUPTURE or Glasvegas DJ set.

Make sure you don't miss the FS screenings, which will take place near the main entrance at 10pm Friday and Saturday. For more information on the Future Shorts event at Way out West visit the Way out West Website
